About the 1% service contribution
BCHisel is a free, open BCH storage service. Running it costs real money — servers, domain, development time. Every file you publish carries a small optional contribution on top of the BCH network fees.
How it works:
Default: 1.00% of the network cost, with a floor of 1,000 sats.
You can change it to any value (including 0). Just type in the box.
The contribution rides as an extra output on the first transaction — same broadcast, no separate payment.
It flows to a rotating BCH address (a fresh one per upload, HD-derived) controlled by the operator.
Set it to 0 if you can't or don't want to contribute — nothing breaks. Your file still gets stored.
If you set 0% and BCHisel stops existing one day, know that we asked nicely.
